Roll Stores and Turn Resources
The Roll Store lets players save unused Guard rolls for later turns instead of spending them immediately.
What goes into the Guard Roll Store?
Automatic rolls produce values from 1 through 6. Unused Guard rolls stay in the Roll Store until spent. Each roll can be used once.
How can I spend stored rolls?
Assign multiple rolls to one Guard, split them among Guards, or use them to move Guard groups when legal. Rolls assigned to one Guard are added together for that move.
What is the Roll Store limit?
Journey stores up to 12 Guard rolls; Brawl stores up to 17. As the store fills, fewer new dice are rolled.
Does the Noble use the Guard Roll Store?
No. The Noble has separate movement values from 1 through 8. Choose one available value for a legal move. Noble values cannot be combined.
What is a Grace Roll?
A Grace Roll occurs when either of the first two dice shows 6 or when those dice total 6. It is separate from spending stored rolls.
Why save a roll?
Saving rolls can preserve longer moves, maintain group threats, avoid unsafe landings, or wait for checkpoint or capture opportunities. A fuller store also means fewer new dice.
Why can’t I use a stored roll?
A roll cannot be used if no Guard or Guard group has a legal move for that value or the selected direction prevents the move. The interface shows the legal moves for the current position.
