User Interface and Visual Elements
All the visual elements of the game interface.
Roll Dispatcher
The purple circular icon in the center of the board frame. Roll values are dispatched from here and move to the player card bubble.
Turn Order Indicator
The multicolor arrow in the board frame. It shows the player turn order and whose turn it currently is.
Game Clock
A timer displayed in the board frame. It counts down the time remaining before the game ends.
Round Tracker
An indicator in the board frame that shows the current round.
Piece Interaction Buttons
Labeled as "N", "G1", "G2", "G3", and "G4". Each button expands or collapses the roll store for its corresponding piece, allowing that piece to be interacted with. Each button also pairs with a landing preview, which appears once a roll is assigned.
Landing Preview
A small label next to a piece interaction button showing where that piece will land with its assigned rolls and direction. It shows the tile number, adds a letter for a Home path, Castle, or entering tile, or shows "H" for Home.
Roll Icons
Circular icons that display available roll values inside the roll store. When the roll store is expanded, each icon can be clicked to assign that roll to a piece or unassign it from that piece.
Collapsed Roll Store
The narrow vertical panel beside each player’s Yard. It displays the roll icons stored for that player, showing which roll values are currently available. For your own player, it also displays the direction button at the top.
Expanded Roll Store
During your turn, you can expand your roll store by selecting a game piece or a piece interaction button. In this state, roll icons can be assigned to or unassigned from the corresponding piece. Your expanded roll store also displays the direction button and movement order button.
Noble Roll Store
The roll store for the Noble piece. It can be expanded by clicking your Noble piece or the "N" piece interaction button. When expanded, it lets you choose a roll value from 1 to 8 and displays the movement order button.
Game Manual Button
The open book icon that opens this game manual.
Game Board
A classic Pachisi game board, divided into four player sections. Gameplay elements are displayed on top of it.
Board Frame
The decorative frame surrounding the game board. Its color theme can be changed with the border theme setting in the settings menu.
Direction Button
The control used to choose the movement direction for your pieces during your turn. In the collapsed roll store, it appears as an "F" or "B" button. In the expanded roll store, it appears as "Forward" and "Backward" options.
Movement Order Button
A button inside the expanded roll store and Noble roll store that lets you choose whether the Guard pieces or Noble piece move first. The two buttons are linked: if the expanded roll store is set to "1st", the Noble roll store is automatically set to "2nd", and vice versa. This is because the expanded roll store controls the Guard pieces, while the Noble roll store controls the Noble piece.
Piece
A movable game object controlled by a player. Each player has one Noble piece and four Guard pieces.
Usability Ring
Spinning rings that appear around pieces the player can use on their turn. A piece with this ring is currently selectable and can be moved.
Player Card Bubble
The small blue circle at the top of each Yard that shows the player’s initials or label. Clicking it opens that player’s player card.
Player Card
Opened by clicking that player’s player card bubble. It displays the player’s name and a score breakdown containing total score, progression score, combat score, and bonuses. It can be closed using the dismiss button in the top corner.
Dismiss Button
The X button shown on UI elements such as the player card and roll store. Clicking it closes the associated element.
Go Button
The button shown at the bottom of your Yard when it is your turn and at least one of your game pieces can move. After choosing the actions you want to take, clicking "GO" will move your selected pieces and end your turn.
Exit Yard Icon
A gray arrow icon displayed at the top of a player’s Yard. Each player starts the game with three exit Yard icons and will gain one when they roll a grace roll, up to a maximum of four. A player also receives two exit Yard icons after their Noble is captured. These icons represent how many pieces the player can move out of the Yard and onto the board. One icon is removed each time a piece exits the Yard.
Score Tracker
The small rectangle below each player card bubble that shows that player’s current total score. Open the player card to see total score, combat score, progression score, and bonuses.
Game Event Notifications
Game event notifications briefly explain important actions and score changes as they happen. A notification can contain a numeric score change, a description of the event, or both.
The interface displays each notification in one of three areas: the center of the board, the Yard belonging to the affected player, or near the board tile where the event happened.
When several compatible events happen together, the interface may combine them into one concise notification. The numeric amount remains the combined score change for the events described.
| Trigger | Where the notification appears |
|---|---|
| A piece earns progression score | Center of the board |
| A piece loses progression score | The captured player’s Yard |
| A player receives a Journey completion bonus | That player’s Yard |
| A player’s own Guard stops that player’s Noble | That player’s Yard |
| A capture awards combat score | Near the capture location |
| An opponent blockade subtracts combat score | Near the blockade location |
Tile Numbers
Small numbers shown on individual tiles to indicate the selected movement path. The numbers update when the direction is changed because the forward and backward paths are numbered differently.
Settings Button
The gear-shaped button used to open the game settings menu.
Settings Menu
The menu that opens when you click on the settings button.
Animation Speed Setting
A setting that lets users change in-game animation speed between 1x, 2x, 3.5x, and 5x.
Border Theme Setting
A setting that lets users change the board frame’s color theme between walnut, gunmetal, and violet.
