Brawl Blockade Scoring

Opponent blockades subtract points for each movement step your pieces are prevented from using.

Blockade Penalties

In Brawl, being stopped by an opponent blockade costs points.

You lose 1 point for each assigned movement step that is trimmed because of the blockade.

This penalty applies to both Guards and the Noble when they are stopped by an opponent blockade.

For example, suppose your Noble is on tile 18 and you assign it a movement value of 6.

An opponent group of two Guards on tile 22 blockades the Noble, causing it to stop on tile 21 after moving only 3 steps.

The remaining 3 movement steps are trimmed, so 3 points are subtracted from your score.

If your Noble is stopped by one of your own Guards, no Brawl blockade penalty is applied.

Sometimes accepting a small blockade penalty can still be useful if the movement creates a capture, protects your Noble, joins a group, or improves your board position.
