Brawl Goal and Strategy
Score points through captures and blockades before the 10-minute timer expires. The player with the highest final score wins.
Brawl Game Mode
Brawl is a score-based game mode with a point system that is not used in Journey.
Each game lasts 10 minutes and ends when time expires.
Players are ranked first through fourth based on their final scores.
If two or more players are tied, the player earlier in the turn order ranks higher.
Brawl has a larger roll store and provides more rolls each turn, increasing the pace of the game.
Brawl Strategy
Your main objective is to score points through captures and blockades.
Moving your pieces Home does not determine the winner. Your final score does.
Capturing opposing pieces is the primary way to earn points. The number of points earned from each capture depends on your Noble’s location at the moment of capture.
You can also earn points by creating blockades or lose points when your pieces are blockaded.
Losing points to a blockade is not always a disadvantage. Accepting a small point loss may give you a stronger position or create a larger scoring opportunity.
