Pieces and Roles
You control 4 Guards and 1 Noble. Your Guards do the fighting, while your Noble must be protected at all costs.
Your Game Pieces
Each player controls 5 pieces: 4 Guards and 1 Noble.
Guards and the Noble follow different movement and capture rules.
Losing your Noble has serious consequences, so use your Guards to protect it.
Your Guards
Guards are your main game pieces. They use stored rolls to move, form groups, capture opponent pieces, and create blockades.
Guards can leave the Yard only when you have exit credits available.
Guards are safe from opponent capture while they are in the Yard, in Home, or on Castles.
Your Guards can blockade your own Noble, so the order you move them in can matter.
Your Noble
The Noble moves independently from your Guards. It has its own roll store and can move 0 to 6 spaces per turn.
The Noble cannot capture, form blockades, or join Guard groups.
If your Noble is captured, all of your Guards are captured too. Protecting your Noble is one of the most important parts of the game.
In Brawl, your Noble’s location determines how many points you earn for each capture.
